Our collection of companies are at the forefront of South African design being led by skilled craftsmen, innovators and artisans. Beyond this, our commitment to service has been imperative. Here is a brief introduction to our companies and what makes them special.
Working with a Collective:
Eurocasa
Our group started in 2012 when we saw great potential in a kitchen joinery company that offer imported Italian kitchens to the local market. Eurocasa Cape Town was first established in South Africa in 1999 with a close relationship with our Italian partners. They started with a 90m² showroom in De Waterkant. We decided to bring the business on board and we have seen them go from strength to strength since then.
Infin8 Surfacing
This business was started from scratch by our Managing Director, Andrew Hatt in 2014. Infin8 Surfacing is the largest solid surfacing specialist in Southern Africa. Their innovation and ability to find solutions for clients is inspiring and creative. The Excellence Group incorporated Infin8 Surfacing from inception and we have been intimately involved in their progression since the beginning.
Valcucine
The Excellence Group expanded their collective even more in 2017 with the addition of Valcucine Cape Town. The business specialises in high-end kitchen designs and was originally founded by the legendary Gabriele Centazzo in Italy. The internationally recognised business have been leaders in the industry since 1980 where they revolutionised the production of kitchens with a great potential for customisation.
Spotlight Joinery
In the same year that Valcucine joined The Excellence Group, so did this leading local joinery company called Spotlight Joinery. The business was founded by Bo Bylin and Andrew Scott in 2007 and has a core focus on luxury kitchens, wardrobes and joinery. Spotlight joinery now occupies a grand 2 200m² manufacturing facility in Lansdowne, Cape Town and serves the entirety of Africa.
Craft Furniture
The following year in 2018, Craft Furniture was brought into the group with our operational partner Chris Pichon. This company has a focus on manufacturing high-end and bespoke furniture pieces and solid timber components. The business has produced beautiful statement pieces through the years and have expanded their manufacturing capabilities over the last twelve months since moving their factory to Maitland- where they share factory space with Infin8 Surfacing.
