Our Mentorship programmes have proven to be incredibly valuable over the past two years and we look forward to the results.

In 2019 we noticed that we had the chance to do something for our people. We realised that even though our employees are talented and educated in their respective fields, there was a greater opportunity to expand understanding and into other spheres of the business and offerings.
This is when we initiated our TEG Mentorship programme, a six month learnership journey that pairs two people from across different businesses and from different backgrounds. This aimed to give our employees the opportunity of practical advice in order to become more empowered in decision making, communication and personal skills.
This internal development programme is open to all members of our business community and can often yield an interesting pairing dynamic. For example we’ve had a junior craftsman from Craft Furniture being mentored by a Senior Fabricator from Infin8 Surfacing and designers being mentored by company Directors.
Every six months marks the beginning of a mentorship journey at The Excellence Group. We offer these mentorship programmes in a variety of modules such as client relations, project management, leadership, introduction to fabrication and business management.
We’ve recently finished one of these programmes where we saw Megan Mc Near, an architectural consultant from Eurocasa and Tiffany Ondernstall, one of our designers from Valcucine, be mentored by Tamara Karsten, Managing Director of Eurocasa. They both chose to do our Client Relations and Project Management course and exceeded expectations.
We are looking forward to seeing how Megan and Tiffany grow into their respective roles with the new skills that they’ve learnt from this mentorship programme.
This is just one way that we aim to provide our employees with the tools they need to achieve their potential. We believe that our journey is the reward and we hope to make everyone’s journey with The Excellence Group a valuable one.
